… to be kind to my solitary nature while maintaining a creative presence in social media.
It was going okay until I suddenly felt like I had to show up.
… to create at least three fun writing games for kids age 4 – 12 for a workshop I’m starting next Wednesday.
I let my urge to do something positive get the better of my naturally hermit-like tendencies. See above comment on solitary nature.
… to get up the gumption to tackle the last remaining mountain of crap in the living room.
Then I look at it and despair. Surely we have enough visible floor by now?
… to find time alone. No people, no phones, no internet.
Should be easy but somehow, is not.
… to institute Pajama Day* once a quarter.
It took two years to get to the first one and it was AWESOME. I believe everyone would be better for quarterly Pajama Days.
… to remember joy can’t be forced. It happens on its own.
If this isn’t a law of physics, it should be.

*Pajama Day is pretty much what it sounds like. Stay in your PJ’s all day and don’t do a lick of work. The house survived, the children didn’t become feral and the hamsters in my brain went into hibernation.

I love this Cathy. I wish I had been more like this when I was younger. It is still hard to slow down even at my age. Janet

Boy do I understand the one about needing to show up for social media.
